Model F - View-Master Viewer - vintage - 1958-1966
economy grade
Just like a "collector grade" Model F viewer, but for the commonly found 'hairline crack' at the bottom base of the viewer. Still structurally sound and fully functioning, the extremely minor flaw means significant savings for you.
The last model of bakelite viewers produced by View-Master, 1960s. It's an internally lighted viewer. The image is magnified 5.5 times, same as the Model C and Model E, but unlike the model C and E, the Model F is self contained, lighted, not requiring a separate light source.Â
NOTE: There is a simple but necessary method in closing the Model F viewer upon changing batteries and/or bulb. Without this method of closure, internal nibs can be broken off, forever preventing complete closure of the viewer. A copy of the original illustrated instructions are included to demonstrate this simple, proper closure methodÂ
Also, this same improper closure of the Model F viewer often caused the back half of the bakelite viewer to crack at the bottom-
3Dstereo offers 'Collector Grade' Model F viewers without chips nor cracks in the bakelite case (including the base of the viewer), no formal battery corrosion, and equally important, with the internal nibs completely intact.
