Introduced in 1965, by Sawyer's this lighted viewer continued to be sold through the early 1980s. But the Sawyer's name on the viewers only lasted for about a year. Therefore, the Sawyer's beige Model H viewer is harder to find.
Made of polystyrene plastic, it was styled with a rounded bottom and feet which allowed it to stand upright. Easy to upgrade the brightness by installing a LED bulb. A transformer cannot be used when a LED is installed, but is fine with a #245 bulb. Viewer has no corrosion on the contacts - no rust which is frequently found. It is in EXCELLENT condition - there are light scratches on the metal disc on the back, but this defect should not disqualify it from being "collector grade." Instructions included.
