Sawyer's View-Master Mark II Camera - vintage
35mm - ViewFinder
Produced in Belgium by the Brussels branch of Sawyer's, intended as a modernized model of the one-decade-old View-Master Personal Stereo Camera.
The Mark II was a lighter weight camera featuring a cold shoe with adjacent PC plugs for bulb flash or electronic flash, plus a rapid film advance and shutter cocking lever.
yet, the most significant improvement was the design that permitted the roll of film to advance through the camera only once instead of the twice run through of the Person camera. This was accomplished by the passing through of the film at an angle, filling the roll of film without waste.
The one minor 'draw-back' was the need for a redesigned Film Cutter which punched through the film chips at an angle. That meant that the Film Cutter for the Mark II camera was not compatible with the Sawyer's Personal camera.
Camera comes complete with Instruction booklet.
