- vintage
The FED Stereo Camera was the Soviet entry into stereo photography in the 35mm format. As with most European stereo cameras (not made for the American market), exposures are 7 Perf wide not 5 Perf wide).
Smart looking, all black, all metal construction, the FED was not a commercial success, and fewer examples are extant, resulting in a slight premium in price and desirability among stereo camera collectors.
The FED features Industar-81, f2.8-f16,38mm lenses; manually focusing from 1 meter to infinity, viewfinder w/ rapid advance lever, and hot shoe and PC connection for flash. Shutter speed is automatic, powered by battery (not included) for film speeds of 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 400, and 800 ASA with settings in between, plus aperture priority for f2.8 through f16.
This FED stereo camera is in excellent cosmetic condition, apertures functioning , auto exposure is untested. As most vintage 20th century cameras are acquired for display, no warranties accompany this camera, but making it function can also be fun and a bonus with every vintage camera.
