Rufous Hummingbird - 3D Lenticular Postcard Greeting Card
4x6 inches - In clear protective reusable sleeve
Named for its reddish-brown face, the rufous hummingbird measures 3 inches long and weighs about 3 or 4 grams. Most western rufous hummingbirds enjoy wildflower season in the Rocky Mountains during the summer and winter in Mexico near Acapulco, traveling over 2,000 miles seasonally. Males use their shorter wings to aggressively defend areas that dense with flowers. Females use longer wings for more efficient flight, defending territories more sparsely populated with flowers.
