Located on the Oregon Coast 13 miles north of Florence, the lighthouse was built in 1894. It was fully repaired and restored from 2011 to 2013. The 56-foot-tall structure shines a beam visible for 21 nautical miles (24 miles), making it the strongest light on the Oregon Coast. It was named after the late 18th Century Spanish explorer, Bruno de Heceta.
