The View-Master Project
For the exhibition, Jacob Schokking and Belgian photographer Daniel Libens produced a series of 63 stereoscopic images. The nine View-Master reels are an original interpretation of the libretto, shot on locations that suit the surrealistic character of the story. The action is depicted in tableaux vivants, that exploit the magical 3-D effects of stereoscopic photography. Aspects of the painter's character stand out with significance which is most of all reminiscent of fragments from a modern silent movie. The View-Master installation travelled all over Denmark.
