Condition: excellent, no chips nor cracks
Imported into the U.S. from the Richard Verascope Company by the Chicago company, Busch Camera Company, branded under the name Sterling Stereo Viewer, the Sterling viewer embraces the design considered the most comfortable design for holding and use.
Generally, the Grey Busch Stereoscopic Viewers and the Sterling Stereo Viewers differ only in the focus feature. The Grey Busch Stereoscopic Viewers have a single focus knob for the duel lenses, while the Sterling Stereo Viewers have individual-eye focusing for the viewing public that have independent eye fine focusing requirements.
The Sterling viewer is high quality, bakelite cased viewer, single element lens, internally lit by two 'D' Cell batteries (not included), individual-eye focusing , and with interocular adjustment. But its most distinguishing characteristic feature is its European style of design permitting viewing of 7 Perf. (European) format slides, as well as 5 Perf. (American/Realist) and smaller format slides, a truly versatile viewer.
This Sterling stereo viewer is fully functioning, with no chips nor cracks in the bakelite body, plus the high tech LED (brighter, forever-lasting, low heat, low energy) bulb is included and installed [NOTE: for LED bulb, batteries should be installed backwards].
For the viewing public with mixed format slides to view, this Sterling Stereo Slide Viewer is optimal for low cost without sacrifice of quality.
