Robinson Crusoe
View-Master 3 Reel Packet
(B438-G5A) - vintage
Live action images of the classic tale from the pen of Daniel Defoe first published in 1719. The book is a fictional autobiography of the title character - a castaway who spends 28 years on a remote tropical island near Venezuela, encountering Native Americans, captives and mutineers before being rescued.
A Los Angeles studio was hired to take live action images of Robinson Crusoe for Sawyer's. Sawyer's used the action images for their line of Tru Vue cards and View-Master reels circa 1961. This packet is a 1973 reissue in Kodachrome.
