The Civil War in Depth Vol II by Bob Zeller is another astounding breakthrough in the presentation of authentic Civil War photographs in their original 3D format. With 139 original stereo views, this compelling pictorial history includes several wartime scenes published for the very first time. In addition, it features the first-ever chapter of Civil War stereo photographs in color (originals were hand-tinted) - 18 of them.
An entire section is devoted to discoveries from the rarest Getttysburg stereograph to the lost Cyclorama painting of the battle of Second Bull Run. Another section features views of black soldiers. See 1860 images of a slave church outside Charleston. A chapter of Wilderness battlefield stereographs taken soon after the war ended shows haunting images of the tangled thickets of the battlefield along with the skeletal remains of soldiers who fell there.
With a new, easier-to-use viewer, the book presents some of the scarcest photographs of the Civil War as they were originally taken and meant to be seen.
This hardcover was priced at $27.50, but now bargain-priced at $16.95. Add this wonderful book to your stereo library today!
